Making History
Tir Na Nog Camogie Club was founded in February 1994 by Camogie
All-Star, Mairead Magill. Forty-Four girls ranging in age from
8-14 years were registered. In 1995 we participated for the first
time in North Antrim under 14 and Minor Leagues and Minor Championship.
Hard work at underage level developing skills and building confidence
resulted in 1997 the Tir Na Nog club fielding at every age group
in competitive matches. In 7 years the camogs had progressed through
various levels, achieving many titles along the way.
They climbed from Division 4 to Division 1 in 4 years and reached
Senior status in the same length of time. In 2007 the Camogie
Club currently competes in Division 1, 3, u18, u16, u14 and u12
leagues.
